Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How can we make sure we get into our preferred workshop or event?
A: Shows and workshops have limited capacity and sell out quickly, so make sure you fax your booking form to BASS on
08 231 0550 as soon as possible. Booking requests are processed in order of receipt. Ensure you list at least 3 performance choices on your form, including the date, time and number of students on your booking form. If you are booking more than one show, photocopy the booking form and fax a separate form for each booking.
Q: How do we ensure we attend the right events and workshops for the age group?
A: Throughout the program, an age range is indicated for each performance, workshop or exhibition. This is a guide and should be considered before making your booking.
Q: Is there someone who can assist me with getting my group of students to and around the Festival ground?
A: Volunteers will be located at the Adelaide Festival Centre and will be happy to direct and assist you with your queries. They will be easily identified by their festival t-shirts and security tags. All volunteers have undergone a mandatory Police Check. There will also be signage to direct you to venues.
Q: We will be staying in the city all day; is there somewhere the bus can park?
A:COME OUT has arranged limited bus parking at the Torrens Parade Ground. To book a bus park, download the booking form here. If you need to discuss your requirements, please contact Anne Wiberg on 08 8267 5766.
Q: How are children with special needs catered for at the festival?
A: Please call BASS on 08 8231 0550 or email groups@bass.net.au to discuss all access requirements when making your booking to ensure your students needs can be appropriately catered for, and to ensure they attend an appropriate performance, exhibition or workshop.
Q: What time do we need to arrive?
A: Check the start time on your ticket for performances and workshops. Arrive at the relevant venue at least 30 minutes before starting time to take your seats.
Q: Is it okay for students to bring bags? Is there somewhere safe they can leave them?
A: Students can bring bags but we recommend that they pack light. All students attending a ticketed event will receive an event bag, thanks to our Principal Partner, ZEN Home Energy Systems. We advise packing essential items only, including food and water. Bags can be left in venue foyers. Front of House staff will direct students on the day.
