The rich collection of artefacts on display in the Museum’s Pacific Cultures Gallery tells a compelling story about the encounters between Pacific Islander people and explorer-scientists, ‘blackbirders’, missionaries and tourists.

Therese Minitong-Kemelfield from Bougainville will facilitate a role-play in which students reenact these encounters using the collections of hands-on artefacts belonging to different Pacific cultural groups.
