Hidden away behind a high stone wall in Kintore Avenue lies what remains of colonial Adelaide’s Destitute Asylum. It was once ‘home’ to those who did not belong – the poor, the outcast and the rebellious.
With empathy and gentle humour acclaimed local actor Emily Branford brings to life the stories of the women and children who lived behind the wall.
